Catheter & Stoma Care

Welcome to our Catheter Care Training Course! In this course you will learn the basics of catheter, including how to properly insert and remove a catheter, how to maintain catheter hygiene, and how to identify and manage potential complications. Our expert instructors will guide you through each of the process, ensuring that you have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide safe and effectiveeter care. By the end of this course, you will be equipped with the tools you need to provide high-quality care to your patients.

  1. Importance of adequate fluid intake on the effective functioning of a catheter

  2. Purpose and function of an indwelling urinary catheter device

  3. Positioning and safe use of bags and attachment of leg straps

  4. Correct positioning of incontinence pads, use of barrier creams and other effective methods to maintaining skin integrity

  5. Importance of effective record keeping.
