Level 2 Award in Moving People Safely

This course allows carers to be able to understand the principles of moving people safely and with dignity.

​

The Level 2 Award in Moving People Safely (RQF) aims to provide learners with the skills, knowledge and understanding needed where the assistance and movement of people is part of their role. The qualification underpinned by the safe principles of moving and handling but recognizes the special skills required when assisting and moving people.

​

Topics covered include:

  1. The reasons for safe manual handling

  2. Risk assessments

  3. Equipment

  4. Applying safe manual handling

  5. Moving people safely principles

  6. Personal safety, health and dignity issues

  7. Personal handling plans

​

This course include 2 practical assessments and 2 examinations.
